Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, has expressed concern over the growing hardship, insecurity and uncertainty facing residents of Oyo State.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Sanusi said many families across the state were living in fear as insecurity continues to affect communities, while farmers are finding it difficult to access their farmlands.
He also noted that businesses are struggling and parents are increasingly worried about the future of their children amid the prevailing socio-economic challenges.
The prominent Ibadan chief urged political leaders to prioritize the welfare, security and prosperity of the people rather than engage in what he described as endless political calculations and premature campaigns ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, the current situation in the state requires leaders to place the interests of the people above partisan considerations and focus on addressing the pressing challenges confronting citizens.
Sanusi called for greater transparency, accountability and practical solutions from those in positions of authority, stressing the need for leaders to listen to the concerns of communities across the state.
He further appealed to political leaders across party lines to work together in the interest of the people and contribute to building a safer, stronger and more prosperous Oyo State.
The traditional title holder expressed optimism that with collective commitment and responsible leadership, the state could overcome its current challenges and achieve renewed peace and progress.
He concluded by praying for peace, progress and prosperity for Oyo State and its people.
