Former Director of Programmes at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), Mr. Ademola Adeniyi, popularly known as Kukulaja, has been appointed the new General Manager of Pensioners 106.7 FM, Ibadan.
His appointment follows the exit of Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, who recently concluded a five-year tenure at the helm of the labour union-owned radio station.
Before assuming the top management position, Dr. Tiamiyu served as Head of Programmes after joining the station on August 20, 2021, and was later elevated to General Manager. He officially stepped down in June 2026.
In his farewell statement, Dr. Tiamiyu described his years at Pensioners FM as “a calling” rather than merely an appointment, noting that the experience profoundly shaped both his professional career and personal life.
The appointment of Mr. Adeniyi, a seasoned broadcaster with decades of experience in radio programming and management, is expected to usher in a new phase in the station’s development as it continues to strengthen its role in public service broadcasting.
Asudemade Perspective reports that the leadership transition marks another significant milestone in the evolution of Pensioners 106.7 FM, one of Oyo State’s notable community-oriented radio stations.
