All is set for the formal presentation of Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the incumbent senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 Oyo State election.

The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, July 2, 2026, and is expected to attract notable party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across the state.

According to sources, Senator Alli’s running mate, whose identity is expected to be unveiled by the candidate at the event, will also receive the party’s nomination form on the same day.

The ceremony is expected to put to rest speculations that Alli’s name had been substituted with that of another aspirant.

Following the presentation of the governorship and deputy governorship candidates, the APC is also expected to issue nomination forms to its 32 candidates for the Oyo State House of Assembly election in preparation for submission to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Party officials say the exercise marks a major step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections in Oyo State.
