A strong political party is built on discipline, loyalty, unity of purpose, and respect for collective decisions. The principle of party supremacy remains one of the most important pillars of democratic politics. It undermine the fact that while individuals may have ambitions, the party’s interest must always take precedence over personal aspirations.
As progressives, we believe leadership is not merely about occupying positions; it is about service, sacrifice, inclusion, and the continuous pursuit of policies that improve the lives of the people. Progressive leadership promotes justice, development, accountability, youth empowerment, and the creation of opportunities for all citizens. It is leadership driven by vision rather than personal interest.
The period following the emergence of party candidates is often a defining moment for every political party. While contestation is natural and healthy within a democratic setting, maturity is demonstrated when aspirants rally behind a Candidate either selected or elected. The strength of any party lies not in the absence of competition but in its ability to unite after competition.

Our party has consistently encouraged reconciliation, engagement, and inclusiveness by ensuring that all aspirants and stakeholders remain valuable members of the political family. Every aspirant contributes ideas, energy, structures, and support that strengthen the party. Therefore, after primaries, the focus must shift from individual ambitions to collective victory. There can only be one candidate, but there is room for everyone in the mission to advance the party’s interest and secure electoral success.
To our teeming youths, the future of our party and our nation rests significantly in your hands. You must remain committed to the values of discipline, loyalty, hard work, respect for leadership, and constructive engagement. The youth wing must serve as ambassadors of peace, defenders of the party’s achievements, promoters of unity, and advocates of issue-based politics.
This is not the time for division, bitterness, or political intolerance. It is a time to strengthen our structures, mobilize support, engage our communities, and demonstrate that young people are not merely participants in politics but responsible stakeholders in governance and nation-building.
As loyal party members, let us remain united in purpose, steadfast in our commitment to progressive ideals, and unwavering in our support for the party’s decisions. Together, we can build a stronger party, achieve greater electoral victories, and deliver the dividends of democracy to our people.
The party is bigger than any individual, and our collective success will always be greater than personal ambitions.
Till I come again.
