A former ally of 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Ikenna Azomchine, has revealed details of a recent meeting with the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a passionate young man concerned about the country’s future.

Speaking during an interview on Trust TV on Thursday, Azomchine said he met with the President’s son on Wednesday and came away with a different impression of him.
According to him, the President’s son appeared genuinely worried about Nigeria’s challenges and expressed a desire to see the country improve.

“I sat down with the son of the president yesterday, and I saw something else. I saw a passionate young man; he’s worried, he wants Nigeria to be good,” Azomchine said.
The former Obi ally, who said he works closely with leaders of the Obidient Movement, argued that engagement with government officials and influential stakeholders could help address some of the concerns being raised by Nigerians.

He maintained that constructive dialogue and cooperation would be more productive than constant criticism without offering alternatives, stressing that citizens who seek change should also contribute ideas and practical solutions.

Azomchine further stated that his interactions with individuals close to the presidency are aimed at ensuring that the concerns of ordinary Nigerians reach decision-makers at the highest level.

He added that meaningful progress in the country would require collaboration, open communication and a shared commitment to solving Nigeria’s challenges.
