Some constituents in Ibadan South-West Constituency I have expressed opposition to the continued political representation of the member representing the constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Yusuf Adelani Adebisi, citing what they described as a lack of tangible achievements during his seven years in office.
In a statement circulated on social media, the critics questioned the impact of a police station allegedly facilitated by the lawmaker, arguing that the facility had not brought significant development to the area despite its proximity to the existing Mapo Police Station.
They also disputed claims that Adebisi facilitated the healthcare centre located in Foko, insisting that the project was executed under the GSM initiative and not through the intervention of the lawmaker.
The group challenged the lawmaker and his supporters to publicly outline his achievements since he assumed office, maintaining that residents had not felt the expected dividends of representation.
The critics further accused the leadership of the PDP/APM of failing to properly assess candidates during its screening process, alleging that the lawmaker’s emergence was a product of a flawed system.
Declaring their opposition to Adebisi’s continued representation of the constituency, the group urged voters in Ibadan South-West Constituency I to reject his candidacy in future elections.
Hon. Yusuf Adebisi currently represents Ibadan South-West Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
